BODE MILLER

The elusive, four-discipline-winning, win-or-DNF, legend of American ski racing Bode Miller visits Arc City, at long last. First, we catch up on his life and family at the current moment. Then I try to ask him questions he has yet to be asked about his childhood growing up ripping around Cannon Mountain and tromping around the woods of Franconia alone. He talks about almost switching to snowboarding, how he truly locked in his mental game in high school. We talk about his belief in the universe, his two-year DNF streak in slalom, the way he expresses himself through skiing, the way loss of family members has affected him, and finally, what he thinks of the American development system. The Skiing History Nugget is about Bode Miller himself.
