Welcome to Arc City!! My name is Jimmy Krupka and I am the founder and host of this podcast. (I am not, however, the one who came up with the phrase “Arc City”—that honor belongs to the world-famous Instagram page, @SlalomTokyoDrift). I was raised in New England, I’m a part-time student at Dartmouth College, and my family now lives in Colorado. Podcasting provides a nice distraction from my training and competition regimen on the Europa Cup and World Cup circuits. But much more importantly, I started this podcast because I think there’s an serious lack of content in ski racing. It’s an absolute desert out there! I’m trying to provide a way for people who love ski racing as much as I do to learn even more about this amazing sport—the fastest Olympic sport, that is. My one problem with ski racing is its inequity: not just in terms of exposure and training opportunities, but also in term of knowledge. Arc City exists to change that—and hopefully have some fun along the way.
